Mislead was founded in 1995 by Christoph Puhr and Stephan Gallitscher. They searched for musicians who would support them. Soon they found a basser in Michi Christ , who lived the underground deathmetal.... And with Michis help they were introduced to Milan Kraus, a virtuos playing drummer. Marion Waizmann joined the band and added some great keys. But it was very clear that this setup wouldn´t last for a long time... The songs were very monotone and playig was boring. So Michi and Milan decided to found a new band... Now Mislead had to find a new basser and a new drummer... The drummer was no problem, Philippe Naggatis from down under was a good friend, and he seemed to grow with the music. And the basser was found in Marion, a good looking and very ethusiastic girl.
Now the time was come to think about gigs. The first gigs were, well I don´t want to tell you. But after some time Marion decided to quit, and so Alex Bauer came. With him they did some great work and with the new inspiration they reallized that they would have to add some keys. And so Floh Elsas was in the band with his Dimmu Borgir -like keyboards... Alex quit, and for him came Simon Rips, who only wanted to play until a new basser was found... Mislead shared their room with The Stürzelhamer, and after some time they were forced to leave their place... So they were on the search for a new possibility for rehearsal. And they needed 5 months to find one. After the quest they almost had to start again at the begining. So they decided to find a new basser, Tanja Kreuzpointner, so they didn´t have to do the new songs twice... Mislead decided to stop playing gigs for eight months to write new material. After that period they went into a studio and recorded two tracks. Although they recorded only those two songs one can see witch direction the debut-album, Mislead are working on, will be.... In September 2000 was State of The Art, a festival in Holzkirchen, where all the newcomers from the area can show what they can. Mislead did a great gig... The recordings for the CD are still going on...
